Kerr Construction Management

Kerr Construction Management (formerly Construction Management Group) is a consulting firm that provides Project Management and Construction Consulting Services to owners, property managers, contractors and consultants. The company was formed in January 2002 by David Kerr to take advantage expanding opportunities in the Hawaii construction market. Its predecessor company, David E. Kerr, Inc. was a closely held family company. Former Construction Management Group partners have moved away or retired and David Kerr is now the sole principal in Kerr Construction Management. Staffing fluctuates depending on project workload.

Our specialty is in the position of Owner’s Representative on large commercial and residential building projects. Our extensive experience in the development and construction on large and small real estate projects works to the benefit of the entire project team. We are most effective when retained early in the project when we are able to assist the owner in establishing realistic budgets, reviewing preliminary designs and providing realistic preliminary development and construction budgets and schedules.

David Kerr is a licensed General Contractor and Responsible Managing Employee (RME) in Hawaii and has extensive hands-on experience in estimating and managing construction projects in Hawaii, on the U. S. mainland and internationally. This experience is invaluable when selecting a general contractor and managing the construction phase of the project. This experience is also invaluable when coordinating the efforts of all the members of the project team: Owner, Designers, Contractors, Operators (or Lessees) and Lenders.
